Teaching experience & duties performed:

After my retirement from the UN in 2009, I have provided individual German language lessons for travel agency staff, airline staff, hotel management staff, teachers at the International School, managers and staff from private companies, for a language school and for high school and University students.

Other pertinent experience & duties performed:

In 1976/77 I was teacher for Mathematics at an Austrian High School, and from 1977-1981 assistant professor at the Institute for Traffic Engineering of the Technical University Vienna. From 1981 to 2009 I worked at the United Nations in Vienna. During these 28 years of service for the International Atomic Energy Agency, I designed and delivered training programmes for quality control of computerized inspection reports and frequently had to teach in workshops and seminars.

On a personal front, I am single and have no children. During my career at the UN in Vienna I got acquainted and made friends with colleagues from many different countries, and also from Thailand. So I discovered my love for Thailand, its people, culture and traditions. I was also lucky enough to be able to learn Thai language by myself with the help of Thai colleagues at the UN. Consequently, after my early retirement from the UN in 2009, I decided to spend most of my time in Thailand. I do not smoke and do not drink alcohol, and try to stay fit with sports and a healthy life style. My favourite sport is table tennis. Other hobbies are classical and pop music, playing piano, foreign languages and travelling.
